In the first of Fallout Five Zero’s “Out of Town” series, fallout shelters from the Lockport and Niagara Falls, NY areas are featured with exterior visits.

Lockport, NY is a small suburb (pop. just over 20,000) outside of Buffalo, NY and about half an hour from the better known Niagara Falls.

In August 2015, Tim and Erica (two generous FFZ contributors) visited the Lockport area and found at least 6 shelters that still had signs, as well as one in Niagara Falls. The number of exterior signs is listed for each shelter, but the amount of interior signs remaining for each site is unknown.

In July 2016, another visit revealed 4 more shelter locations in Niagara Falls, NY. This part has been added as “Part 2”

In August 2018, a subsequent visit revealed more shelter locations from Lockport, Niagara Falls, and Jamestown, NY and has been labeled “Part 3”

During a visit in August 2021, 4 locations in Buffalo were found and are featured in “Part 4.”
